My prediction about Enrique's future was right and wrong because I thought that Enrique and his mother was going to get along just fine. Enrique and his mother was having some problems for a minute until Enrique decided to get his life together and be more nice to his mother. My prediction was a little right, but it just took him time to realize that he has to respect his mom. I thought my prediction was good because I used what I knew from my last reading.
This chapter takes place in the United States and Honduras. The main characters in this chapter is his mother Lourdes, his daughter, his girl friend and his cousin. All of these characters are important because they all are going through personal issues and feel like they are all missing someone in there lives. They all affected Enrique because they are his loved ones, and his goals are to make sure he can help to make threes and his life right.
In the beginning of the reading Enrique and his mother was fighting a lot, he began to do grogs, visit bars, and get police tickets. He was basically going down hill and being worse than he was from when he was in Honduras. He had been living there for two years now and hasn’t saved any money because he had been buying drugs. Once he began to realize he needed to be a better person and live in the present he gave up doing most of his bad habits. He cut down on marijuana and beer, and even going out. He began to work a lot more and speak to his daughter. He began to spend his money the correct way and even give his mother some. Now Enrique's cousin is in the U.S and is making enough money to live, and she is living a better life than what she was living. Finally the story ends with Enrique moving out to get space and find a way he can live his happy life with his family.
Well My potluck paragraph was wrong in many ways. I was wrong when I said that he would eventually get along with his mom. They are still arguing, and he moved out. His girl has not came yet. She probably wont come at all. She does not want to leave her daughter behind.
All this chapters drama takes place in the u.s and Honduras. This reading involved Enrique's mom, his girl, his daughter, his aunt, and himself. These are the main heads in the chapter so far. Well they are effecting his journey by making him sad and mad and confused. All of these people and what's going on with them is a-lot to deal with.
In this chapter Enrique starts to sniff paint. His mom ends up catching him and Enrique moves out to get a little privacy. He quits inhaling but starts back with an old habit drinking. He gets to talk to his daughter she says she loves him and she wants to see him. There is nothing he can do he has a cell phone a truck, and his own pad. His aunt also comes from Honduras she promises not to get used to the u.s because she is going back.
